Is there anything more satisfying than saying, "I got the part!" Whether a lead in a Broadway show or seven lines on "Law & Order: SVU", the achievement represents more than a momentary accomplishment. It’s the opportunity to put your heart, mind, and talent into a project and connect with an audience.

It's what great careers are made of. I believe that there are no limits to what is possible when collaborating with an actor on their work.

"Diana offers this: an uncanny ability to get to the beating heart of a scene. An intelligence that is both cerebral and visceral. I don’t know anyone who can better prepare an actor for the work at hand.

She is indispensable."

KATE BALDWIN, Tony-nominated actress for Finian’s Rainbow and Hello, Dolly!

Teaching has been the driving force of my professional career and private coaching continues to be one of my greatest joys. Preparation for an audition that not only makes the you feel prepared, comfortable, and confident for the audition itself, but gives you a comprehensive understanding the role that you are auditioning with or auditioning for. Primary goal is to get the part. Secondary goal is to make you stronger at auditions and readings that will bring additional work or exposure.

"Throughout my tri-coastal 20-year career—which has included Broadway, several lead roles at Steppenwolf Theatre Company, feature films, and recurring and guest star roles on major television series—I haven’t coached with anyone better than Diana Basmajian. She not only helps me book the auditions I am working with her on, but she has also made me a better actress in the process. She encourages strong, interesting choices that are supported by the text...And most importantly, she helps me find myself in the character so that the portrayal is as authentic as it can be. She is my absolute go-to acting coach."
